Goodbye G5. Hello Mac Pro.
Mon Aug 7, 2006
sstringer, I envy you. If I had any way in the world to justify getting a Mac Pro and a pair of 30-inch displays, I would. Unfortunately, these darn Macs stay useful for too long, so I'll have to be satisfied with my PowerBook G4 and 23-inch display for a while longer...
The 10 worst money habits

Gadget Lets Authors Sign Books From Afar
Sun Mar 5, 2006
If "writer's cramp" from signing so many books is a problem, I don't see how signing them long-distance will be any better. Sounds like the virtual signing line will be even longer than the real ones, and the real ones are long enough to make any author cranky about half way through.
Cheney Could Face Charges in Shooting
Wed Feb 15, 2006
Is it just me, or is this a non-story? If Whittington dies (which he won't) and if an investigation shows that the risk was "pretty outrageous" (which is unlikely), then Cheney might face charges. I'm no Cheney fan, but even I call that serious reaching.
